Tilt & Turn Windows

S & J's range of internally glazed tilt and turn windows not only provides excellent insulation from the weather, it also ensures the highest level of security and safety.

The tilt before turn safety locking system feature ensures that the tilt/ventilation option happens first, making it perfect for ground floor installations and a vital consideration in high-rise applications, providing improved child safety. The turn function allows internal and external cleaning to be undertaken at height and without risk as the window opens inwards.

The mechanism comprises a specially finished steel multi-point espagnolette locking that operates around the sash. The number of locking points is dependent upon the window size. An anti-switch barrier is fitted to prevent selection from tilt and turn, while in the tilt mode and vice versa. The window must be closed before the alternative mode may be selected for added security at ground floor level. In addition to the tilt mode, a controllable or permanent ventilator is offered as an optional extra, fitted within the head of the profile of the window.

We provide the option of having curved or angled head and top rails, to suit your house design requirements, as an additional feature.
